The Patriots TE Christopher Hogan has suffered yet another ACL tear and is expected to miss the entire season.
Hogan, who has missed all four games this season with the injury, will be a free agent at the end of the year, according to the New England Herald Sun.
Hearing Hogan could be available on the open market at some point, however, the Patriots don’t have a ton of cap space to spend this offseason and Hogan could cost them as much as $6 million.
The Patriots already have $8.9 million in cap space, according the NFLPA, but the $6.2 million they owe Hogan could push them over the $10 million mark in cap room.
If the Patriots decide to release Hogan this offseason, they could use $7.2 m to re-sign the former Pro Bowler.
The New England Patriots TE has suffered a second ACL tear in less than a year.
